ABOUT THE ROLE
Audible is seeking an analytic and highly motivated individual to join our Media team. You will develop and implement a best in class Global Media Center team and establish foundational processes, that enables our global business to maximize both awareness and performance media, drive growth, and improve efficiencies. The individual must possess deep media domain expertise in upper and lower funnel tactics, demonstrate ability to influence an internal team of media experts and adjacent teams, drive leadership with a media agency and establish foundation for AI & automation process improvements. In addition, this role works closely with financial and growth leadership, BI for analytics for SMARTe incrementality, Adtech/Martech teams and legal for contractual and infosec elements.

The responsibilities span Global Strategic Initiatives, Management and Operations, and Ad Technolgy requiring deep expertise in all Media tactics, specifically Awareness Media (TV, Radio, out-of-home, Direct Mail, Influencer) and Performance Media (Paid Social, Paid Search, MAI and Display). In addition, it covers operational ownership of our media agency process which ultimately enables business growth and cross-marketplace efficiencies. This role coordinates with the Awareness and Performance leads to strategically plan and execute key cross-marketplace activities (Brand, Key content launches, Best practices, etc) as well as coordinated company-wide media flowcharts and Top Spending reports. This role’s influence is critical to success of the business by establishing the right tools, tracking and capabilities to fluidly allocate spend in the next best marketplace and tactics to drive company-wide growth and efficiencies

As the Head of Global Media Center, you will...
- Lead, Manage and motivate direct report team of media experts located across the world to enable media operations, achieve media growth goals and establish future ways of working
- Leverage your significant knowledge in All Media Channels Awareness/Demand based media / optimizations across Video (Linear and streaming), audio (Terrestrial radio and streaming), OOH, Direct Mail, MAI, Total Search, Paid Social, etc. spanning subscription and ALC models (Credit & ALC)
- Utilize your extensive knowledge in global marketplace Media consumption and trends, competitive analysis
- Establish and maintain global relationships across media and cross-functional teams while balancing global business goals
- Be the primary lead with external media agency in conjunction with Awareness & Performance Media leads to develop, negotiate and execute Media SOW and relevant agency incentive program (PRIP)
- Lead for ongoing audits of media pricing commitments with external consultant
- Lead/develop/own the ongoing media automation, AI, simplification workstreams, inclusive of narratives and timelines, coordinating closely with media teams, Product, Martech, and agency
- Standardize agency processes to ensure the Audible global team and agency operate as efficiently as possible to enable growth while maximizing Free Cash Flow
- Ensure commonality of tools across marketplaces both internally and externally with agency proprietary capabilities
- Establish global ad tech & privacy standards, recurring tag audits, core media foundational alignment, implementation of tagging, privacy and infosec needs, new partner contract and rollout (i.e. Liveramp/InfoSum) in conjunction with Martech, legal and Product.
- Establish and support ways of working to ensure performance Checks & Balances, budget fluidity across marketplaces and media tactics to drive next best investment activity ultimately maximizing company-wide growth

Basic Qualifications

- Experience managing teams
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Advertising, Statistics, Engineering or related field
- Experience driving results through digital marketing and multi-channel campaigns
- Experience in creating and managing budgets
- 10+ years experience in media and/or digital/mobile marketing
- Experience in managing media and creative agencies

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA, or Master's degree
- Experience leading a brand company or agency managing leading brands

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
