ABOUT THIS ROLE
Audible’s Business Development team develops strategic partnerships that deliver compelling differentiated experiences to accelerate Audible member growth and engagement. We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Development Manager to support our partnership and deal execution processes. This role combines strategic deal support, operational excellence, and project management to ensure successful partnership outcomes from initial negotiation through implementation and optimization. The ideal candidate thrives in cross-functional environments, has a passion for turning complex deals into operational success, and is prepared to eventually take on their own independent partnership deals.

As a Manager, Business Development, you will...
- Manage select existing global/local partnerships and take the lead on new deal opportunities, driving them from conceptualization through launch while defining the roadmap & strategy and setting expectations with all relevant stakeholders
- Support senior BD team in deal structuring, contract negotiations, and partnership agreements
- Conduct due diligence research on potential partners, including market analysis and competitive landscape assessment, and prepare comprehensive deal presentations, business cases, and ROI analyses for executive review
- Collaborate with Content, Business Development, Marketing Ops, Brand Social, Paid Media, PR and external partners to determine relevant offers and go-to-market plans
- Develop and maintain standardized BD processes, templates, and documentation, including establishing KPI tracking systems and regular performance reporting for active partnerships
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for new partnerships
- Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings with Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Technical teams
- Analyze partnership performance data and provide actionable insights for optimization
- Prepare executive-level reports on BD pipeline, deal status, and partnership ROI

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in consumer tech, big tech, startup, or media/digital media, with a focus on business development, partnerships, consulting, or project management

- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation abilities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $159,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
