ABOUT THIS ROLE
Audible’s Consumer Insights team is seeking a consumer research expert to help our Global Brand and Marketing Strategy teams steer the Audible brand in continued success. To keep up with Audible’s growing global brand, you will elevate our Global Brand Tracking and consumer insights capabilities, translating data into strategic direction for marketing teams worldwide. You'll work in close partnership with our Brand & Marketing teams to ensure they have a better understanding of our current and future customers in order to influence marketing decisions.
ABOUT YOU
You’re passionate about consumer brands and entertainment with deep expertise in brand health measurement. You understand how brand positioning, audience strategy, segmentations and brand tracking interconnect to create a holistic view of brand performance.
You’re an expert in quantitative research methodologies, and have managed quantitative tracking studies in the past. You excel at integrating multiple data sources (1st and 3rd party) to develop richer consumer understanding and identify opportunities for brand growth.
You possess exceptional organizational and project management skills that enable you to manage complex global studies, challenge agency partners effectively, and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Your communication skills allow you to translate complex data into compelling narratives that drive strategic decisions at senior leadership levels.
As an Associate Director of Consumer Insights, you will...
- Lead and evolve our Global Brand Tracker - Design, manage and enhance our comprehensive brand health measurement system across marketplaces, identifying strategic opportunities and challenges
- Transform data into strategic direction - Synthesize brand health metrics into actionable insights through executive-ready presentations and strategic recommendations
- Partner with Brand & Marketing teams- Work collaboratively to ensure brand tracking insights inform marketing strategies and campaign development
- Support global and local brand teams - Conduct ad hoc brand research studies including brand and customer deep dives and competitor analysis
- Drive innovation in research approaches - Integrate traditional brand measurement with advanced methodologies and data sources to create more holistic consumer understanding
- Socialize insights for maximum impact - Develop compelling narratives and visualizations that inspire marketing teams and influence decision-making
- Collaborate with Analytics partners for expanded brand measurement – Combine our brand health metrics with other analytical measurements (e.g., incrementality tests, brand lift studies) to further understand impact of our marketing efforts on the brand

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, or similar field
- 7+ years of professional research/insights experience
- Experience in setting-up and managing large-scale trackers, brand health studies and/or consumer insight initiatives
- Experience in project management
- Experience in analytics and delivering compelling data-driven presentations to present insights clearly and persuasively to colleagues, partners and stakeholders
- Experience in quantitative research methodologies, as well as focus groups, IDIs
- Experience with analytical tools (SPSS, R, SAS, Strata, etc.) and survey platforms (Qualtrics, Confirmit)
- This role can be based in Newark or Cambridge
- 7+ years of professional research/insights experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $226,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
