ABOUT THIS ROLE
Audible is seeking a full-time Policy Manager to join the Global Trust & Safety team in refining policies and standards that impact Audible listeners and the creative community with whom we work. This permanent role will work with cross-functional and international teams to align priorities and deliver solutions to address emerging and ever-evolving issues facing digital media consumers across the board, but particularly in the advertising and monetization space.
ABOUT YOU
Reporting to the Senior Director, Content Programs & Policy, you will work closely with Legal and PR stakeholders, product managers, content/creative teams, and other teams across the company to provide policy guidance and handle escalations. You will rely on your experience in content policy, global program management, advertising policy frameworks, and working with cross-functional stakeholders to align on customer trust and safety best practices. You'll deliver results when faced with ambiguous circumstances and roadblocks. Your judgment and intuition are right, a lot, especially when balancing the diverse and sometimes competing needs of our business, creatives, publishers, author and performer communities, and advertisers.

As a Content Policy Manager, you will...
- Understand existing policy and consult with partner teams on escalations and new use cases, with particular focus on advertising-related policies and implications
- Develop and maintain comprehensive advertising and monetization policies that protect consumer experience while enabling business growth across audio formats
- Collaborate across departments and teams to communicate policy guidance and changes in the media landscape, including emerging digital advertising standards and regulations
- Act as a point of contact and manage internal communications for policy moderation issues, including ad-related content concerns and compliance matters
- Work with product teams by creating business requirement documents to ensure policy compliance for developing ad products
- Support cross-functional policy projects, using data and existing policy to spot risks and recommend mitigations related to ad placement, targeting, and content standards
- Remain up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advertising standards worldwide
- Deliver crisp, timely policy decisions in clearly written guidance, briefing leadership when needed
- Represent Global T&S in meetings, particularly those involving advertising partners and policy stakeholders
- Develop new policies that consider multiple stakeholder perspectives, especially working with Audible's writers, actors, advertisers, and other creative professionals who craft the listening experiences we deliver

Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google docs and sheets
- 3+ years of compliance, policy, moderation, risk management, or advertising policy experience
- Experience developing and maintaining digital advertising policies at scale
- Experience managing global projects
- Experience presenting information to senior leaders in written and verbal formats
- Experience in content policy management with measurable impact
- Experience with analytical and strategic problem-solving in policy contexts
- Experience working in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in content policy, digital content moderation, or advertising compliance
- Experience leading policy initiatives that balance business needs with user safety and advertiser requirements
- Experience working with creative communities (authors, performers, content creators) and advertising partners
- Knowledge of international content regulations, advertising standards, and digital media compliance frameworks
- Experience with data analysis tools and policy impact measurement
- Knowledge of ad-supported business models and their policy implications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
