ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a member of the North America Publisher Partnerships team, you will hold a multifaceted role that helps determine and execute Audible’s strategic initiatives concerning its content partners, including some of the world’s biggest publishers. You will work with various departments across the business to assist in the development, execution, and management of our relationships with content partners. Through your business knowledge and negotiation skills, you will work with the team to help design deal structures and drive Audible’s growth into the future.

As an Associate Manager, North America Publisher Partnerships, you will...
- Identify and investigate new partnership opportunities which support Audible’s strategic goals
- Develop deal structures and evaluate deal economics with constituents across the organization (Finance, Legal, Product, Content, Strategy)
- Negotiate terms for new distribution and content opportunities
- Perform ad hoc strategic analysis to support executive decision-making
- Monitor the competitive landscape to identify emerging areas of opportunity and potential risks
- Engage with content partners to ensure ongoing relationship development and management
- Coordinate with key stakeholders within Audible (Legal, Finance, Marketing, PR, Content Services, Business Development, etc.) to draft and process contracts, implement deals, and give exposure to partners via our merchandising and marketing teams
- Track and communicate deal terms within the organization and act as the first line of enforcement of deal terms if necessary

Basic Qualifications

- 2+ years of entertainment industry deal negotiation experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in developing financial models and analyzing large data sets

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience communicating complex business concepts in verbal and written form
- Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing tasks
- Experience in a content acquisition or business development department of a media company
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization
- Experience with SQL and/or using data visualization tools like Tableau
- Experience or interest in digital media and publishing
- Well-versed in current streaming media trends and the evolution of technology distribution platforms

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $86,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
