Product & Customer Experience | Job ID 3155600Job Summary
At Audible, we believe stories have the power to transform lives. It’s why we work with some of the world’s leading creators to produce and share audio storytelling with our millions of global listeners. We are dreamers and inventors who come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to empower and inspire each other. Imagine your future with us.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
Revolutionizing the storytelling experience is just part of an Audible UX Designer’s daily to-do list. You’ll craft refined interface elements and improve usability for harmonious listening anytime, anywhere, on any platform – including iOS, Android, web, and Alexa. Like us, you’re customer obsessed, and every decision you make will be shaped by your profound understanding and curiosity of the customer experience. Just when it seems a product is perfected, you’ll envision a thoughtful new way to take it further. Your creativity will take deep customer insight and transform it into innovative experiences that will continuously evolve the UX, all while discovering new ways to unleash the power of the spoken word.
ABOUT YOU
Life inspires your work. You look to yourself for insight, and can’t help keeping a running list of ways to improve your own UX. You’re most creative when working through situational restraints, from everyday life hacks to professional milestones. You always strive for more, an expert in proactive design thinking. No stone is ever left unturned; you’re all about asking the big questions and the small ones. The only thing more exciting than validating a solution is sharing it with your team. And as a collaborator and mentor, you’ve seen first hand how constructive feedback and a growth mindset create an environment where everyone thrives. You’re ready to hone your craft and broaden your design skills, but the journey with your team is what drives you.
As a Principal UX Designer, you will....
- Envision and bring to life intuitive, scalable, and engaging experiences
- Facilitate work sessions with executive leaders
- Champion human-centered design culture
- Drive creative process and collaboration with cross-functional partners to propose new ideas and strategies
- Provide coaching and feedback, with an emphasis on growing junior designers into future leaders
- Create and drive adoption of design guidelines, mechanisms, best practices, process, and tools
