ABOUT THIS ROLE
Based in Berlin, Audible GmbH is looking for a Contract and Rights Specialist. As a Contract and Rights Specialist, you will play a key role in Audible's contract execution, provider onboarding, data management and deal implementation processes on Audible’s Global Deal Operations Team. You will collaborate with our Publisher Partnerships, Business Affairs, Legal, Finance and Catalog Operations teams to make sure the terms in our content agreements are effectively implemented. You'll manage changes over the contract lifecycle, foster good working relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers, maintain accurate and complete contract data across key databases, provide reporting to support departmental operational activities, and oversee external operations for Audible's sublicense agreements.

You love simplifying, improving and automating processes. You stay current with emerging technologies and excel at identifying both tech-driven and human-centric solutions. You have a knack for bringing order to ambiguity, navigating through roadblocks, and translating business needs into operational plans. You are comfortable working independently, managing data and routine/detail-oriented tasks effectively, as well as collaboratively as part of a diverse cross-functional team. You communicate confidently with diverse stakeholders, thrive in a high-energy entrepreneurial environment and bring an enthusiasm for books and digital entertainment that aligns with our mission.
This position is initially open through a 24-month contract.
As a Contract and Rights Specialist, you will...
- Be a subject matter expert on deal implementation
- Coordinate contract execution, digitally file completed contracts, and enter/maintain terms in Audible’s contract database
- Onboard new providers, request upfront payments, and kick off contractually required next steps downstream
- Partner with Audible’s Legal, Business Affairs, Finance, and Catalog Operations Teams to align on and execute operational plans for new deals, partnerships, initiatives and contract changes
- Review and validate contract and royalty data against deal terms prior to each period close
- Create reports to support content operations and inform business decisions
- Provide general support for the Business Affairs & Content Operations Team, including data clean-up projects, ad hoc research, inquiry response and trouble tickets
- Drive continuous improvement to systems and processes, leveraging root cause analysis, emerging technologies and cross-functional collaboration

Basic Qualifications
- Experience in entertainment, digital media or publishing field and/or contract/data management or IP licensing
- Business fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with database concepts and data entry accuracy
