Audible’s “Next Chapter” Returnship Program

Audible’s “Next Chapter” Returnship Program is a 16-week paid full-time internship for experienced professionals returning to the workforce after taking time off for caregiving. The program is open to professionals who have at least 5 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least one year to focus on caring for a child or other dependent. If you meet these criteria, we welcome you to apply.

This is a super exciting initiative and one that is close to my heart.

Anne Erni

Audible’s Chief People Officer

At Audible, we launched our “Next Chapter” Returnship Program because we appreciate the skills you can offer, the perspective you provide, and the contributions you will make. This program offers you a chance to revamp your skills, update your resume with new experiences, and make connections with other professionals transitioning back to the workforce. It also offers support through Path Forward, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering people who’ve taken a break for caregiving to transition back to the workforce.

This return to work 16-week program is 100 percent virtual. Upon successful completion of the returnship, there is a possibility of an offer for full-time employment. Our program offers fully remote roles and roles based in our Newark, NJ, Cambridge, MA, or Los Angeles, CA hubs. Offers for full-time roles based in a hub location are contingent upon candidates’ advance commitment to reside or relocate to that geographical area to be within commuting distance of the hub, once we fully return to our hubs. Relocation assistance will be provided for those full-time opportunities.

I’m thrilled Audible is pursuing this program. By offering caregivers the ability to onramp back into the workforce, we are recruiting and developing highly motivated talent while also continuing our commitment to creating an inclusive team.
