ABOUT THE ROLE
Audible is looking for an organized, and enthusiastic candidate to join the fast-paced world of Accounting and Finance. We’re looking for exceptional people with accounting and related finance experience combined with systems knowledge, a customer service passion, analytical, auditing and problem-solving skills. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and compliance across our global operations. You'll manage various transactions and support our growing business through general ledger management. You'll have the opportunity to influence process improvements while ensuring our financial operations maintain accuracy and control. Your work will directly impact our ability to make strategic business decisions and maintain financial integrity.
As a Senior Accountant, you will...
- Be responsible for accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, sales, cash deposits and ensure accurate transaction recording in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account analyses and reconciliations, including management of marketing accruals, fixed asset sub-ledger, and intercompany transactions
- Oversee automated sales and credit card deposit journal entries
- Partner with international teams to globalize processes and determine best practices
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and tasks

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of Public Accounting (Audit) or Private Accounting with experience in general ledger accounting, accruals, and fixed assets
- Experience in Excel managing large datasets
- Experience with Accounting process improvements
- Experience in cross-departmental collaboration and stakeholder management

- Systems implementation experience, particularly with financial systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
