ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Manager of Analytics within Audible's SAMBA and Decision Science group, you will be responsible for surfacing data-driven opportunities for the business functions (Content, Marketing, Product, and/or New Growth/International). You will provide tactical, operational, economic, and financial analysis to frame and drive decisions, develop KPIs and scorecards to track initiative progress/performance, and build scientific models to drive a focus on results and execution.

ABOUT YOU
You are a "doer" who can code and takes ownership of data products or prototypes from conception to delivery. You will partner across engineering, data science, marketing, and product management – developing the knowledge and skills to be a trusted technical advisor. You will be able to work with minimal instruction, manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, maintain relationships with senior leaders, and own deliverables end-to-end. Critical to your success is the ability to think intentionally, develop insightful analysis, communicate findings concisely, work effectively as part of a cross-functional team, and analyze large datasets.

As a Manager of Customer Analytics, you will...
- Illustrate business trends and drivers through problem framing, data analysis, interpretation and visualization
- Create well-designed management scorecards and dashboards for accurate and robust reporting
- Deliver impactful analysis based on robust economic, financial, and statistical analysis
- Estimate the impact of different scenarios using analytical/financial models
- Develop and validate methods to optimize customer interactions, leveraging data science techniques
- Develop in-depth knowledge of data sources, business intelligence technologies, and analytical tools
- Develop compelling presentations and documents, communicating with impact and intuition
- Proactively communicate factors affecting deliverables to senior management
- Explain assumptions and quantitative methodologies to colleagues

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of relevant experience in the areas of Strategic Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or Consulting in a digital environment or in a related field
- Quantitative degree (Sciences, Operations Research (OR), Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar field) or equivalent experience in a data driven/analytical role
- Knowledge of data/analytical tools
- Experience with SQL
- Experience using data visualization tools like Tableau or Microstrategy
- Experience with statistics and modeling
- Experience with Python, R, Jupyter, other analytics/data science tools
- Background in content/media, marketing tech, subscription business

Preferred Qualifications

- Background in internet industries preferred with an understanding of ecommerce analytics, marketing analytics, experimentation
- Understanding of product analytics, ecommerce analytics, marketing analytics, experimentation, and econometric techniques
- Experience working directly with product managers and software development teams
- Experience with Python, R, Spark, Clickstream or Adobe Datastores
- Problem-solving skills, with the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Experience in high achievement and independence in prior roles
- Aptitude and drive to learn new tools quickly
- Experience in developing skills to source, produce, and automate reporting to drive improvements in business processes
- Intellectual curiosity for what creates value for our customers and drives the business
- Written and oral communication skills including presentation and PowerPoint
