ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a member of the UK Publisher Relations team, you will hold a multifaceted role that helps determine and execute Audible’s strategic initiatives concerning its content partners, including some of the world’s largest publishers. You will work with various departments across the business to assist in the development, execution, and management of our relationships with content partners. Through your business knowledge and negotiation skills, you will work with the team to help design deal structures and drive Audible’s growth into the future.

You're an experienced negotiator with a strong ability to develop and execute new content opportunities. You will have proven decision-making, problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated ability to manage the business by the numbers. You're an analytical and creative thinker who can ask the right questions and develop a point of view that will influence decisions and drive Audible’s continued success.

As an Associate Director, UK Publisher Relations, you will...
- Identify and investigate new partnership opportunities which support Audible’s strategic goals - Develop deal structures and evaluate deal economics with constituents across the organization (Finance, Legal, Product, Content, Strategy) - Negotiate terms for new distribution and content opportunities
- Create written reports and presentation materials for executives which communicate financial analysis, strategic perspective, and drive toward a recommendation
- Prepare projects for internal support and valuation through data collection and preparation of P&Ls and proposed deal terms
- Perform ad hoc strategic analysis to support executive decision-making
- Monitor the competitive landscape to identify emerging areas of opportunity and potential risks - Engage with content partners to ensure ongoing relationship development and management
- Coordinate with key stakeholders within Audible (Legal, Finance, Marketing, PR, Content Services, Business Development, etc.) to draft and process contracts, implement deals, and give exposure to partners via our merchandising and marketing teams
- Track and communicate deal terms within the organization and act as the first line of enforcement of deal terms if necessary

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in negotiation and relationship management
- Experience in developing consensus and influencing the decision-making process
- Experience in developing financial models and analyzing large data sets

Preferred Qualifications

- MSc in Business Management or MBA
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills; ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly
- Solid organizational and project management skills
- Experience or interest in digital media and publishing
- Proven success in content acquisition and/or development at a content, media rights, or digital media department/company
- Well-versed in current streaming media trends and the evolution of technology distribution platforms
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams under competing deadline
