COVID-19 update: The safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers and candidates is our top priority. We continue to closely monitor the evolving situation and have shifted all in-person interviews to virtual interviews until further notice. We’ve developed this guide on how to prepare for your virtual interview.

Our Commitment

We believe that companies can have hearts and souls and missions that transcend financial success. Starting from the inside and extending to our local communities, we embody our Activate Caring People Principle through our comradery and respect for each other and our commitment to making a positive impact.

Audible employees worldwide work to identify and create educational opportunities for children in grades K – 12. In addition to our broad collaboration with public and charter schools and educational programs in Newark and Cambridge, our Seattle office has a budding collaboration with the Seattle Public Schools. And in the UK, Audible is working with the London Mayor's office to help 16- to 18-year-olds develop job search techniques, and provide aspiring actors from low-income backgrounds access to educational and drama programs.

Technological Innovation

Returning Newark to its roots as an innovation hub means investing in small businesses and tech entrepreneurs. In 2015, Audible founder and Executive Chairman Don Katz founded Newark Venture Partners, a venture fund and accelerator program that has attracted early-stage technology companies from around the world to Newark. NVP and its portfolio companies—55% of which have at least one female founder or founder of color—are creating jobs and revenue for the city and its residents and are helping to grow Newark's innovation economy. We're exploring how we can take this model to our offices around the world.

Economic Opportunity

We don't just work in the cities in which we’re located – we're immersed in them. From hiring local interns and full-time employees in Newark, to engaging with the local creative class in the UK and beyond, we develop relationships with community stakeholders to identify how we can best contribute to creating and unlocking opportunities.

Spectrum & Belonging

We create a meaningful work experience that celebrates the glories of the human spectrum. As a company that means more than what it does alone, we are committed to building and sustaining a culture and community of respect that fosters meaningful connections; and we seek to empower, engage and inspire our colleagues, creators, listeners and community. Through our Spectrum & Belonging opportunities, we Activate Caring to become better allies in our workplace and communities, make an impact, and cultivate a culture of belonging both inside and outside of Audible.
