JOB SUMMARY

Job summary
Good storytelling starts with great listening. At Audible, that means each role and every project has our audience in mind. Because the same people who design, develop, and deploy our products also happen to use them. To us, that speaks volumes.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
As our offerings grow, we are looking for a data-driven, strategic Senior Manager to work with teams across the organization to manage quantitative go-to-market, including pricing and promotion strategy, for the breadth of Audible’s offerings. This cross-functional individual collaborator will lead highly visible work, partnering with colleagues at all levels of the organization to drive quantitative analysis that helps us better understand our customers and build a fantastic suite of offerings.

The right candidate will thrive in a highly entrepreneurial, fast-changing, and collaborative environment where people are driven and enthusiastic problem-solvers.

The Senior Manager, Pricing & Offers, will play a pivotal role in driving strategic analysis for company-wide initiatives in service of Audible customers and product.

ABOUT YOU
  • A self-starter who is biased for action, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and employs impeccable organizational and analytical skills with an eye for process improvements.
  • A data-driven strategic thinker who will readily abandon closely held-ideas in favor of stronger evidence — constantly iterating to improve the customer experience.
  • A rare combination of “thinker” and “do’er” paired with a strong aptitude for understanding of product strategy and operations.
  • An exceptional communicator with a knack for making complex data simple and evangelizing and inspiring people at all levels of the organization. You’re extremely comfortable building tight narratives from large scale data, bringing to light nuanced customer needs and behaviors.
  • A transformer who is passionate about figuring out what the future looks like, with a relentless focus on creating and improving customer value.
  • A hands-on multitasker who can quickly change focus and balance the needs of the moment with longer-term goals with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity.
  • Resilient with positive attitude – even the stiffest challenges are possible with the right amount of creativity, good judgment, and hard work. Exhibit strong integrity and ability to follow through on commitments and deadlines.

As a Senior Manager, you will...
  • Collaborate with teams across Audible (Product, Tech, Insights) to lead quantitative analysis that drives our product, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Conduct research of factors impacting the product lifecycle, marshalling both first party and third-party information to assess key factors and their impact on the business.
  • Engage in financial modeling related to economic trade-offs and forecasts.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to define business and operational requirements to streamline how we measure and forecast business performance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the current product offerings, research industry best practices, and review client and customer feedback to build recommendations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business insights, or consulting, preferably working with a Product Management or technology organization.
  • Experience in pricing strategy or revenue management.
  • Track record of successfully working with cross functional stakeholders to understand needs and define and document solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal). Can succinctly and clearly communicate, and are able to produce documents and presentations that are ready for leadership review.
  • Superior writing skills to communicate complex ideas simply and advocate for recommended decisions.
  • Outstanding time management skills, prioritization, and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks while remaining self-directed.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team on multiple tasks and assignments.
  • Proven experience in an entrepreneurial or high-growth, technology-driven businesses.
  • Passion for creative and/or media businesses.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills; the ability to manage with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders, including leadership at all levels.
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively in high-energy, rapidly evolving organization.
  • MBA.
