Based in Sydney, Australia. Senior Director, Performance Marketing is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and analysis of Audible APAC’s performance marketing initiatives. The role’s primary responsibility is to manage and mentor the performance marketing managers across APAC and ensure implementation of best practice across the region. From supporting strategy development with Country Managers to managing implementation and execution, the ideal candidate will propose, execute and analyze performance marketing plans with a specific focus on performance channels to achieve the growth and efficiency objectives across the region. The role will coordinate closely with Country Managers and Head of Audience Acquisition align on priorities and targets, manage budgets and forecasting by marketplace and how to use allocated spend in the most effective and efficient way to drive country and regional member base targets.

The Senior Director, Performance Marketing is a highly analytical candidate and can use data to constantly challenge and optimize paid channels activity leveraging internal and external resources including Data Science and high-profile agencies . This role leads a high-performing team and is responsible for developing, coaching and and coordinating with leaders across the APAC region to drive results.

Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Director for Performance Marketing, you will...
• Oversee, develop and drive alignment on the performance marketing strategy and budget allocation for all Audible services across APAC
• Manage performance marketing team to meet or exceed growth of the core subscription product and Return on Equity (ROI) goals.
• Consolidate performance media acquisition results, information, and insights and share actionable learnings with the Head of Audience Acquisition APAC
• Manage the performance marketing forecasting process and output, ensuring robust methodology and accuracy.
• Ensure best in class ad tech and measurement set up and make recommendations on improvements where appropriate.
• Ensure best practice and effective campaign management of all acquisition media.
• Utilize Data Science team to produce insightful analysis, demonstrating the effectiveness of our planning, optimization and management of media.
• Collaborate with global counterparts to share knowledge, insights and plans that will help to drive APAC and international performance.
• Collaborate with internal brand marketing and product marketing teams to develop integrated creative campaigns and media plans.
• Partner with internal creative resources and external agency to develop and produce creative assets.
• Own agency relationships for performance marketing and ensure consistent focus on effective ways of working.
• Develop, coach and mentor the performance marketing team.


● Relevant Professional Degree
● Extensive experience in data-driven acquisition marketing roles, with a heavy emphasis on subscription marketing expertise and leadership
● Track record of designing and owning of multi-channel media strategy, optimization and ROI
● Track record leading a team that runs paid media, including SEM, paid social, e-mail, mobile, and affiliate channels
● Experience driving results through designing and implementing A/B and multivariate tests
● Deep understanding of digital media ecosystem, biddable media, ad tech and measurement tools and models.
● Advanced communication skills with extensive experience managing a network of stakeholders and influencing senior decision makers.
● Exceptional written communication skills with a track record of providing clear and insightful documentation tailored to audience.


● Extensive experience managing and interpreting large data sets to inform decision making.
● Problem-solving skills and analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
● Self-starter and creative thinker with outstanding ability to multi-task, set priorities, and manage time efficiently.
