ABOUT THIS ROLE

Audible, an Amazon company, is the leading provider of premium digital spoken audio information and entertainment on the internet, offering customers a new way to enhance and enrich their lives every day. Titles downloaded from Audible are compatible with hundreds of mobile devices, including the iPhone and Android smartphones.

Based in Sydney, Audible is looking for Program Manager, Content Production to drive successful implementation of the Audible Australia content programming strategy, define and manage processes from ideation throughout acquisition and production across the relevant teams. This is an 11-month temporary contract.

ABOUT YOU

This role will oversee the production pipeline, with the focus on managing crucial aspects of production operations, slate management and investment tracking for Audible Studios and Audible Originals. This role works closely with Business and Creative Owners, Finance, Content Operations and Content Processing teams to ensure titles are tracked and released correctly. Liaises with relevant stakeholders to ensure reporting and tracking data is accurate.

Key job responsibilities
As the Program Manager, Content Production you will...
  • Build and drive best practices: network, coordinate, cooperate and communicate with all relevant stakeholders across the company to ensure smooth operations
  • Content Investment Management, AU Content: Own production management and investment tracking across all studio and original productions; Develop an efficient process for slate management with an emphasis on monitoring approvals and committed spend
  • Production Manager, AU Content: ensure schedules and all project elements are produced and delivered for AU Audible Content, including cover art, audio recordings, clearances, metadata, title details and marketing assets; ensure all production trackers are kept up-to-date
  • Vendor Management, AU Content: Facilitate onboarding third-party vendors and ensure all vendors are paid in a timely manner; management of third party publisher royalties and reporting
  • Content Lifecycle (Processing): Ensure titles are processed and released locally and globally, according to go-to-market plan; maintain content catalogue workflow
  • Content Tracking / Reporting: updating local and global trackers; ensure data systems are maintained and accurate; complete all global scheduling and reporting documentation
  • Content Finance: management of invoices and approvals for content partnerships. Manage all financial matters on production with vendors and partners including securing and approval of quotations, issuing purchase orders, monitoring and managing receipt of invoices from productions. Troubleshoot any financial/tax issues with partners and internal team
  • Internal Communications, AU Content: Communication and alignment with in-house Programming, Content & Production Operations, Business Affairs (Content Acquisitions & Partnerships incl. Publishing), Audible Studios, Marketing, CD&E (Content Discovery and Engagement), Legal and wider teams
  • Scheduling, AU Content: Develop and maintain content release calendar across all studio and 3rd party productions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in content production teams
  • Experience in project management and process implementation
  • Knowledgeable in audio production best practices or transferrable skill set (film & television production best practices)
  • Current experience managing and scaling fast-paced/high-growth production environments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Independent and autonomous with strong work ethic and internal drive
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented but with strong commercial acumen
