The Strategic Initiatives Team is a core part of Audible’s mission to unleash the power of the spoken word. We use both qualitative and quantitative methods to identify strategic opportunities for Audible to provide a differentiated offering that delights our customers. We draw deeply on cross-functional expertise to present opportunities for organic and inorganic growth to our senior leadership team. We also work with those teams to develop and execute the plans needed to make those opportunities a reality. Our growing team seeks individuals who are passionate about using data to drive informed decisions for the company and our customers. We’re looking for an analytical and creative thinker, with the ability to ask the right questions and develop a point of view that will influence decisions.

ABOUT YOU
· Rare combination of “thinker” and “do’er” with a strong aptitude for understanding strategic goals of tech and media organizations and building and executing the tactics to accomplish them
· Passion for both writing and analytics, with a comfort moving regularly between left and right brain thinking
· Confidence in presenting analyses and recommendations to senior leaders, paired with intellectual humility and an ongoing desire to refine your thinking
· Comfort with ambiguity and change – you can identify and act upon an opportunity or problem without explicit instructions
· Resilient and positive attitude – even the stiffest challenges are possible with the right amount of creativity, good judgment, and hard work
· Strong integrity and ability to follow through on commitments and deadlines
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Partner with Strategic Initiatives colleagues and senior leadership to identify and assess broad strategic opportunities for Audible’s business interests through ongoing research of industry trends
· Manage Audible’s competitive intelligence, functioning as a resident expert on industry dynamics for senior leaders
· Synthesize and interpret data, develop actionable recommendations, and present them effectively to senior leadership
· Plan and execute on product expansion, partnerships and alliances in the spoken word audio and broader digital sector
· Build relationships and partner with internal teams across Audible and Amazon, leading, inspiring, and driving others to think creatively and proactively to further Audible’s business and community goals
· Work on new project areas we have not yet identified
