ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Senior Manager- Global Procurement will be responsible for executing sourcing events across Audible (with a focus on IT and Marketing spend), reviewing spend and potential savings opportunities, building relationships with business partners, and acting as a liaison between Procurement and the business. Ultimately they will be accountable for executing sourcing events and following direction given by the Director of Procurement.

As a Senior Manager, Global Procurement you will...
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams from different levels of the organization regarding procurement-related services
  • Provide expertise to strategic sourcing, supplier selection, industry analysis and contract development
  • Manage the development and implementation of sourcing strategies and provide consultation to senior management on supplier management, industry trends and strategic cost reduction opportunities
  • Analyze spend, identify new cost reduction opportunities within supported categories, and lead conversations with the business stakeholders regarding identified opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with the business and legal to execute contractual agreements
  • Develop and document complex project plans and lead others in executing project plans for key strategic sourcing events
  • Assist in the development of e-procurement policies and practices
  • Provide guidance to technology plans and programs designed to augment and support the procurement function at the direction of the Director of Procurement
  • Conduct analysis and recommend changes to procurement processes and procedures, including appropriate communication and training
  • Collect relevant supplier performance metrics and provide input to the supplier performance review process
  • Monitor compliance with sourcing policies
  • Perform other sourcing and procurement related duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA in business or another qualified field
  • 5+ years of experience in indirect sourcing and procurement, spend analysis, procure to pay, e sourcing, and related standards
  • 3+ years of Marketing and/or IT Sourcing Experience within a tech organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to support different initiatives and adaptable to changes in direction and priorities
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build relationships with resources outside of their department
  • Proven record of strong negotiating and analytical skills
  • Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into results
  • Highly motivated, drives results, and deals well with ambiguity
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build relationships with business leaders outside of the department
  • Management experience with proven ability to coach and develop teams, set stretch objectives, and evaluate performance against stated goals
