Economist

Audible is searching for a talented economist to join our data science and economics team. You will work with other scientists and stakeholders from various teams across Audible, including marketing, content, finance, and human resources to outline major analytical questions. You will be expected to apply rigorous economic thinking and econometric methods to answer these questions, ultimately making data-driven recommendations to the business. You will be a member of Audible’s core economics and data science team, and be expected to contribute to our broader science knowledge base. Economists at Audible are a part of a large (and growing) economics community at Amazon.

We are searching for economists with a core competency in one of the follow areas of economics:
· Empirical IO, to help with pricing and demand estimation.
· Marketing and Experimental Design, to help our marketing and content partners grow and deliver exceptional content to our customer base.
· Labor/Applied Micro, to help us understand how to attract, retain, and grow our talent.
Both specialists in the above fields and those with a broader background are encouraged to apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Collaborate with leadership to shape a research agenda in one of the above areas.
· Build econometric and machine learning models to answer challenging, impactful questions.
· Partner with other scientists at Audible and Amazon to develop scalable solutions to economics problems.
