Audible is seeking a Product Lead, Business Planning & Operations to support our Product Operations function. This individual will tackle the most hotly debated topics within our product organization. You will partner closely with Product leaders to identify the biggest ‘dogs not barking’ in our organization. You will look around corners to define these lurking questions about the current and future state of our business, and tackle them with urgency and comprehensiveness. Successful candidates for this position will have strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority, along with a good understanding of product development, roadmaps, and digital media businesses.

As a Product Lead, Business Planning & Operations, you will...
  • Partner with senior product leaders to continually review and refresh our long-range (three-year) business plan.
  • Proactively identify problems to be solved in service of improving the customer experience. Partner with senior product leaders to assess the ROI of potential cross-functional product initiatives.
  • Develop decisive, data-driven recommendations into presentation-ready deliverables for senior leaders.
  • Partner with Data Science and Finance to analyze existing data, define and fill data gaps, and calculate ROI and P&L impact for strategic product initiatives.
  • Partner with Audible’s Innovation team to source and assess long-term business opportunities.
  • Draft and support strategic communications, narratives, and presentations for product operations function.


  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a combination of FP&A, management consulting, business operations/analysis, revenue optimization or an equivalent field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Math or related fields.


  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal). Can succinctly and clearly communicate, and are able to produce documents and presentations that are ready for leadership review.
  • Superior writing skills to communicate complex ideas simply and advocate for recommended decisions.
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to rapidly build rapport and trust with across business functions.
  • Deep understanding of and interest in digital media content, specifically subscription streaming services and/or two-sided marketplace business models.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work seamlessly with a variety of personalities and functional disciplines.
  • Product or program management experience.
  • MBA.
  • Will consider candidates with 3 years of work plus 2 years of MBA.

The pay range for this position in Jersey City is $115,600- $160,000 (year); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Pay Transparency Regulation of Jersey City Municipal Code. Base pay information is based on market location.
