ABOUT THIS ROLE
As Corporate Counsel Audible IN, you will be a member of the Audible APAC and the global Amazon Entertainment legal team, and support the Audible IN business team on content, marketing and other matters, as well as regional and global initiatives. This role will be based in Mumbai, reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel, based in Singapore

As a Corporate Counsel IN, you will...
- Provide inputs in structuring, drafting, the licensing, distribution, production, marketing, and other commercial agreements
- Support in reviewing documentation on the development and production of original content and provide inputs on production and post-production related legal matters
- Provide ongoing legal inputs across a range of fields, including intellectual property, marketing review, consumer affairs and regulatory compliance
- Support international expansion matters and other projects
- Provide compliance training to the business teams
- Travel as required

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Qualified to practice law in India. (Qualification to practice in another jurisdiction is a plus)
- Minimum 6+ years PQE (Post Qualification Experience) in content development, IP acquisition and licensing, content production, rights and clearances, content compliance and content marketing
- Prior experience with a studio, production company, or an entertainment and media law firm
- Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating media contracts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong legal and business judgment
- Mix of law firm and in house work experience is preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, together with proficiency in local territory language(s)
- Experience structuring, drafting, negotiating, and closing a broad range of commercial contracts
- Ability to analyze and assess business processes, spot issues and propose/implement solutions
- Ability to function autonomously yet communicate laterally and upwardly with ease
- Passion to embrace challenges and drive meaningful solutions, including amid complexity and uncertainty
