Audible - an Amazon company and perpetual innovator – is looking for a talented Art Director to join our Marketing team to help evolve and extend the visual language that communicates the Audible brand across our digital surfaces and wider campaigns. With your help, we’ll develop key art, campaigns, and experiences that help build and extend our brand and entertainment properties in the Amazon and Audible ecosystems, attract and convert new customers, and engage our existing community of listeners in authentic and compelling ways.

We’re searching for an Art Director who will be responsible for the conception, design, and execution of innovative, brand-building, visual materials for integrated, cross channel initiatives that drive design consistency, engagement and cohesive integration into our experience.

You possess strong conceptual and executional design skills. Your mission (and ours) is unique and powerful: fill hearts, minds, and souls with compelling audio content that provides learning and entertainment.

As a Art Director, you will...
  • Design and develop strategic concepts and be able to partner closely with copywriters, product marketers and other creative teams to conceptualize and implement creative solutions that elevate the brand.
  • Translate business goals, marketing objectives, data and insights into an actionable creative brief that directs and inspires clear design approaches.
  • Communicate visual designs, motion design, concepts and storyboards through compelling presentations and securing client approval of recommended designs.
  • Collaborate with UX and Design leads on a visual language that aligns with usage patterns across platforms; aligning or augmenting existing conventions.
  • Serve as a leader within the team to inspire creative thinking, keeping current with latest trends and innovative practices and applying them to the development of new creative.
  • Manage deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work closely with senior marketing stakeholders.


  • 4 year degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Creative agency or in-house brand experience.
  • Art direction experience and formal design training with exceptional conceptual and design skills.
  • Expert use of the Adobe suite of creative programs, Sketch and Figma.
  • Experience collaborating with and leading external agencies, as well as internal stakeholders.


  • An overall understanding of product design, production and the capabilities within digital channels.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of After Effects and Video production.
  • Outstanding portfolio of creative work for consumer-facing product experiences across all platforms.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Global brand experience.
