At Audible Studios, content is at our core. We are hiring a Senior Director, Audible Everywhere to oversee the creation of ancillary content (video, film, other media) to further the reach of our Audible Originals. Reporting to the Head of Audible Studios, the Senior Director, Audible Everywhere will best support the talented creators behind our Audible Originals in fiction and nonfiction; scripted and non-scripted. While audio is always king at Audible, the Senior Director, Audible Everywhere goes well beyond the current boundaries of audio storytelling. They will develop a strategic and creative plan to engage and innovate in all forms of new media in order to deepen the impact of our Audible Originals. This will include supporting our tentpoles and supervising the creation of short form accompanying visuals and partnering with other new media entities. The Senior Director, Audible Everywhere will align creative and business goals, while supervising staff and budgets. They will inspire the generation of creative ideas, content and concepts; oversee development, planning and production; and seek out new business opportunities that will allow us to monetize, expand, and promote our content.

As Senior Director, Audible Everywhere, you will...
  • Develop a strategic and creative plan to engage and innovate in all forms of new media.
  • Work with creators to create ancillary content (film, short form video, augmented reality, virtual reality, animation, etc) to support their Audible Original audio content.
  • Identify tentpole and top tier existing Audible audio content that will translate into new and exciting video content.
  • Be a key player on a team of executives who recruit and work with writers, develop and oversee audio productions, and push the envelope of innovation in creating bold, original stories that appeal to different segments of our audience.
  • Oversee creative development of these stories as they evolve into mediums outside of audio.
  • Bring management experience and an aptitude for leadership.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively among cross-functional teams, from dealmakers to marketing executives to audio production teams.
  • Demonstrate sound judgement through skilled execution of responsibilities, consistent leadership and management skills, and an ability to inspire and teach.
  • Work with partners across Amazon and Audible.
  • Work with Creative Owners, Producers, Creators and production services companies to manage the creation, narrative and visual style of ancillary content.
  • Stay abreast of next wave emerging technologies.
  • Identify emerging creators and content and nurture the relationships and projects.
  • Manage budgets and ensure content produced within this group is delivered in a timely fashion.
  • Interact cross-functionally and internally to ensure smooth handoffs and that the needs of other groups are met.
  • Work directly with creators and support their vision for video content.
  • Look for creative opportunities for Audible that complement the audio space.
  • Manage and help shape our festival and content outreach strategies.
  • Strategize and shape the future of ancillary audio and visual formats.


  • 8+ years of experience creating or producing video content for a commercial audience.
  • Managerial experience.


  • Comfort with chasing opportunities and solving problems with commercial functions.
  • A data-informed approach to decision making, where data influences but does not determine decisions.
  • Strong connections in the entertainment/creative space.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership acumen and the ability to motivate team members.
  • Significant experience developing, acquiring, managing and/or creating both short-form and long form content; a demonstrated passion and interest in audio content, and a desire to stretch beyond existing formats and approaches to surprise and delight our listeners.
  • Ability to lead in a high-energy, high-intensity and rapidly evolving environment under aggressive deadlines and demonstrated success driving results from cross-functional team.
