You will work with other scientists and stakeholders from teams across Audible including our executive team, as well as content, product, marketing teams to outline quantitative solutions to major strategic questions. • Partner with other scientists at Audible and Amazon to develop scalable solutions to economics problems.

  • PhD in Economics or related field.
  • Fluent in mathematical foundations of statistics, machine learning, and economics.
  • Experience formulating and solving challenging optimization problems.
  • Experience with statistical and econometric software, such as Python, R, or Stata.

  • Knowledge of causal ML methods, such as high-dimensional models, double/debiased ML, causal random forest, matrix completion methods.
  • Experience in using data science and ML to inform pricing, investment, development, or production of original media content.
  • Experience working on a cross functional team, including with product managers, software and data engineers.
  • Publication record in empirical IO, or topically relevant to digital media industry and/or streaming services.
