Led from Berlin, Audible’s EU business offers localized marketplace services for customers in France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. The Onsite Manager EU is responsible for the customer experience on web/apps for Audible.es. You provide our customers with the right content recommendations, you plan and execute content campaigns and you execute initiatives to retain customers. Together with your team colleagues you plan and execute a test-driven approach to content discovery and customer engagement across EU.

The position is initially open through a contract role lasting 24months.

As an Onsite Manager EU, you will...
  • Manage and optimize merchandising activities with the goal of driving revenue, minimizing costs, and amplifying customer engagement.
  • Plan and execute tests to improve engagement.
  • Inform and implement bold, creative promotions and programs, marketing communications, and special projects throughout Audible.es engagement channels.
  • Liaise and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Design, Customer Support, Product, and Content) to bring these experiences and functionalities to the marketplace.
  • Work with creative and content marketing teams to ensure that customer communication goals are met.
  • Build promotional pages and incentives via sophisticated online tools.
  • Maintain ownership of merchandising KPIs, regularly communicating results to senior management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Degree (Bachelors’ degree, MBA, M.A., M.S., or another post-graduate degree).
  • 5+ years’ experience in merchandising, online marketing, or ecommerce in the digital media industry (online publishing, video, music, etc.).
  • Experience with web/mobile analytics programs i.e., Site Catalyst, Google Analytics. Basic HTML skills. Proficient knowledge of MS Office.
  • Business fluency in written and verbal Spanish and English, additional European languages are a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organizational, managerial, and communication skills, with proven ability to handle multiple projects and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical capability and a solid understanding of success metrics.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  • Strong knowledge of the German cultural and media landscape.
  • Comfortable working with international teams and cultures.
  • An avid consumer of online media, including books, websites, blogs, and other digital content. Passion for books, audiobooks, and digital entertainment.
