ABOUT THIS ROLE
Based in Berlin, Audible is looking for a Manager, Royalties, who will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of royalty reporting and related payment processes for Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. In this position, you will be on the Global Royalties team collaborating with our EU Content, EU Business, and Financial Services teams.

As a Manager, Royalties at Audible EU, you will…
- Process monthly and quarterly royalty statements and related payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Validate royalty reports from the Audible royalty systems, identify incomplete/inaccurate data and royalty calculations, and pursue root cause explanations with upstream teams
- Review contractual advance payments and related royalty recoupment where applicable
- Prepare manual royalty calculations/adjustment reports and royalty analyses as needed
- Be responsible for researching, reconciling and resolving royalty related financial statement inconsistencies
- Resolve day-to-day internal and external inquiries related to royalties
- Participate in the month-end financial close processing
- Work with ACR team engineers to propose system enhancements and implement changes in royalty calculations structures and logics
- Ensure proper royalty financial controls are implemented on a recurring basis
- Support schedule preparation, requests for reports, and other ad-hoc data requests required for reporting

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or a related analytical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large amounts of data
- Understanding of intellectual property, licensing, and royalties
- Clear and concise written and verbal skills help you to communicate fluently in English
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task with various projects
- Ability to operate in a high-energy, high-intensity environment as well as a strong sense of urgency with all work-related tasks
- Self-motivated and highly organized with good time management skills
- Possess the ability to prioritize deliverables, resolve issues, and meet deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Prior work experience in royalties, or as a financial or accounting analyst
- Fluency in a second European language (especially German, French or Italian)
- New system/process implementation experience which includes identifying gaps where system enhancements can be made
- Experience working with SQL and Workday
