At Audible, we believe strongly in App Store Optimization (ASO) and are seeking an ASO Strategy Manager to join our global ASO marketing team to lead EU efforts. We are looking for an experienced marketer to take our Store presence to the next level. In this role you will own the relationship with our 3rd party agency(ies) in addition to partnering closely with our EU and Global Content Marketing, Branding, and paid media partners to drive calendars, roadmaps and strategies across the iOS, Android, Amazon and other app stores.

With a keen attention for detail, you are an experienced marketer and are excited by the new opportunities within the app stores. You love data, and paired with your customer centric lens, drives your decision-making processes. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and understand release schedules can be fluid. You thrive on coordinating and partnering with other marketing teams and are skilled at managing 3rd party vendors. This position is initially open through a 24-months contract.

As an ASO Strategy Manager at Audible EU, you will…
  • Own Audible’s EU ASO strategy across current and future marketplaces
  • Manage agency(ies) to drive global store growth
  • Work alongside the owned and paid user acquisition and retention teams to create a strategic ASO framework and roadmap to drive business priorities for high impact growth initiatives
  • Drive EU ASO testing methodology & experimentation to maximize KPIs
  • Partner with Audible EU Content Marketing and Global ASO Content lead to develop engaging stories to drive user acquisition and re-engage existing app users
  • Contribute to cross-store In-App Event and Custom Product Page calendars and strategies to drive channel KPIs and align with cross-partner
  • Work closely with the EU paid marketing team for experimentation opportunities and initiatives to drive incremental growth
  • Write release notes, In-App Event copy and more as needed
  • Execute A/B tests, In-App Event, Live Ops, CPP and CLP roll-out

  • Conversion and retention marketing experience in a membership model business
  • Experience working with various cross-functional partners (Technology, Creative, User Experience, Media Planning) to develop assets and plans for optimization
  • Past experience in a content creation role


  • Fluent/Proficient in German or French, +additional languages preferred
  • Extensive app marketing experience on a global scale, with a proven track record of developing and implementing strategies within the EU, partnering with agencies, internal stakeholders and the app stores to grow mobile audiences.
  • Agency or client-side experience growing organic installs, improving conversion and member reengagement for all traffic sources and understanding down-stream impacts
  • Up to date on the latest Store features for both the App and Google Play stores
  • You love testing and thinking of out of the box strategies
  • Experience working with App Store Connect and Google Play Developer console preferred, CMS experience a must
  • App Store optimization tools like Data AI and 3rd party MMPs such as Kochava
  • Proven understanding of how app stores operate and what drives performance
  • Experience running ASO strategies in the EU and an understanding about cultural localization and the role it plays in the way we approach online marketing preferred
  • Clear, concise and persuasive verbal and written communication
  • Ability to convey strategy and prioritization to senior stakeholders
  • A passion for storytelling
